Fine merino wool is naturally soft to the touch, making it comfortable for direct contact with the skin.

Its fibres form natural air pockets that insulate without trapping heat, by absorbing and releasing moisture, it will prevent you from feeling damp, overheated or muggy.

Thanks to its natural structure, wool regulates temperature, resists odour and doesn't require frequent washing.

Wool doesn’t hold odour and our blankets can be machine washed at home, using gentle settings, no heat and wool-safe products.

Caring for your AMBAR wool blankets

Wool doesn't require constant washing. It responds best to light, informed care.

Washing

  • Machine set to gentle cycle 
  • Cold water, tumble at 600 max
  • Wash-bag to avoid snagging
  • Neutral or wool-specific soap
  • Avoid fabric softener

Drying

  • Lay flat to dry on a clean towel
  • Reshape gently while damp
  • Avoid direct heat or sunlight
  • Never tumble dry

Between washes

  • Air out regularly in fresh air
  • Spot clean minor marks with cold water and soft sponge
  • Store folded in your breathable cotton Ambar bag

Yes. Our machine-washable wool blankets can be washed at home on a cold, gentle cycle with low spin.

Never, heat can shrink and stiffen the fibers. Wool prefers air drying. Lay flat and let it dry naturally to maintain shape and softness.

Our blankets are tested for colour stability. If you prefer, wash separately the first time, then wash as normal.
